REVIEW

This is a great book.It enables you to make progress in Sahaja Yoga and leaves you feeling better and wiser.
The author tells you how to stand regarding Sahaja Yoga and spreading the news of this great gift from the guru Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.People will be more likely to take to Sahaja Yoga if you are genuinely tolerant and a good person. One should not force others.
The chapter on music is advanced, and deals with sounds and letters from Sanskrit. This was beyond me,but in Sahaja Yoga we believe music carries the "vibrations" so it will be good reading for those with musical ability.
The awards and recognition for Shri Mataji are presented.
Saraswati makes the point that Sahaja Yoga provides a means of regularly attaining a meditative state, with theta waves through the brain, which not many other practices can demonstrate, and furthermore Sahaja Yoga is easy to do. Japanese Zen monks or Tibetan Buddhist monks may enjoy these states, but Sahaja Yogis seem to be able to reach them quickly and relatively easily. This is after all a very enjoyable part of Sahaja Yoga.
I would quibble with the chapter on forgiveness.Sure,be understanding of your oppressor, but you can go too far and it can seem like appeasement. If there is something repressive or contemptuous,a cough say in ordinary life, the person might have been doing something transgressive or nasty, and we should not back down unless discretion is the better part of valour.
It's a good book and a welcome read for those enjoying Sahaja Yoga and wanting to go deeper and understand more.
